Though class divides
the women sweeping sunny mornings
they shine like gold dust.

Our second original together! This one's close to my heart 'cause I semi-wrote, semi-composed and well, fully sung it :P And we did it in 30 minutes flat! What's more is that we performed it in college right after, in front of an audience of about 400!

I have this theory that Gaurav (Chatterji), Prateek (Dubey) and I are three lovers that can't create music without each other (with the exception of Gaurav, our next A.R. Rahman) None of us are really complete without the other :)

Anyway this version was supposed to be a dummy version, just a simple acoustic. Proper recording will happen later since my lovers and I are parted by distance.

Hope you enjoy it! (or don't hate it)

Love,
I love
the eyes,
they do the work
but try not to give it all away
before we start getting reckless with our sin,
and joking and laughing
about how we could possibly laugh about it;
Only to push some more of those boundaries
That we forgot to define, to begin with;

And as fingertips accidently flicker
while walking into our own little world
with modest lighting
and familiar music,
we take the opportunity to
tickle each-other’s knees
like quick Eskimo-kisses;
Just to signal or as if to ask
Don’t you feel 14?
‘cause I do.

As we turn away,
I wish,
for one last time,
those eyes could work overtime.

You'd want to believe
that age is just another ticker
scrolling a twenty-five.

---------------------------
This day twenty-five years ago a famous hospital in Delhi bore witness to one of the most prolific events in history, the birth of a bonny baby that was called "THIS" by her mother. (Used in the sentence: I can't believe I was carrying this in my va-jj for 9 months!)

Where she suffered from low blood sugar and had a drip stuck in her head for days, her mom got malaria twice during the entire process. To make matters worse, when she was finally taken home her parents left their expensive Poloroid camera in the cab. Pure evil that child I say.

Go ahead, wish me, I won't bite. (Will sneeze though, thanks to 4 buckets of water)
Happy Birthday to Me! Kindly forgive the sugar high.

A few confessions
require caution in indulgence,
the morning-after.
