They all say I’m cold; you, pretty little thing, have just begun!
Since your actions refuted all that I predicted to hear
I conveniently assume Things are not always as they appear
See how ingeniously I put words in your mouth?
I reassure you of the opposite when you are in doubt
You certainly take non-reciprocation in bad taste!
My feelings that were but only temporarily misplaced
There is too much hurt here and I don’t care for more
Do you realize you sound like a broken record of a repeated folklore?
Why squander away precious time on me when you have so much to look forward to
Ok, try to sing with more heart ‘cause of what I did to you
But your melody swore it would waste no more notes on me
Seriously, did you think I was going to let you off that easily?
I will let you in on a secret - I use people to grow as a writer
And you are important because I will always be your humble debtor

Today I was thinking how clumsy we all can be when having to lay the bed. I, especially, have this terrible way of sitting/sleeping wherein the bedsheet completely slips out. I tried to change this posture but my ass has been accustomed to a particular style of rolling around the bed and feels rather comfy in “finding its niche”, so to speak. So every fucking morning I get up, look at the mess I have made, let out a huge sigh and avoid it. But by afternoon the bed starts giving me the eye and I feel very conscious of my being as I sit with my laptop on the study table. Type girl, type, and don’t look directly at it!
So well, I had been doing a temporary tuck-in for the past 2 days which meant the tuck-in became more frequent – close to thrice a day – so I decided that I shall get the job done once and for all so I wouldn’t have to do it for atleast the next 2 days. See, laying the bed can be a very complicated process. If you don’t get your get your proportionalities right from all 4 sides of the rectangle, it can come back to haunt you at night when you smell something foul on your bedsheet only to realize you are half-sleeping on the dusty mattress, which brings me to dusting the mattress before laying the sheet. I hope your mom taught you the process so I will not get into the horrendously monotonous details. So anyway while trying to take my afternoon nap after laying the bed I contemplated putting the golden board pins over the laid out sheets from under the mattress to fix the sheet but soon changed my mind due to two very carefully thought-out reasons (i) The sheet could tear (ii) The pins could hurt, even though the mattress thickness is close to about a demure weiner’s. And then I was reminded of that unbelievable story of The Princess and the Pea. A true princess can identify a pea from under 21 mattresses. What! Hans Christian Anderson had no better work to do than write fairy tales on how a real female is delicate. Ok, without getting into the whole realm of feminism I shall close the day that could’ve been my 7th anniversary with the ex. Time for some regret cards.
P.S: I would be very disappointed if I get comments on this post. It would prove people have nothing better to do in life than to read an utterly useless blog entry about laying the bed.

But with all that free time you have to make a choice whether to waste it or constructively utilize it. I’ve been doing both. I have started reading again, thanks to the absolute marvel of a book The Count of Monte Cristo. (Recommendations for a follow up novel would be appreciated.) On the other hand, life has also been a series of hookah parties at the rooms on my left and right. And gossip. But our junees are so boring that our minds have been cooking up stories of our own. Haven’t you ever faced situations where every story has 3 different versions?
He went to her room and put her to sleep and then left.
No wait.
He went to her room, put her to sleep and then started feeling sick himself, puked and left.
Or.
He went to her room, and I saw him come out of her room after an hour! Naughty boy, he gets around.
And it gets interesting.
After he left her room, another guy came to take care of her, was caught by his gf in a rather compromising position (the position isn’t clarified) while he was taking care of her. Was slapped.
Or.
After he left her room, another guy came to take care of her, was caught by his gf in a rather compromising position while he was taking care of her. Was scolded.
Or.
After he left her room, another guy came, was seen by his gf, who for the first time felt jealous while he took care of her. She cried and told him how much she loved him and can’t live without him.
Phonies. Phonies, all of us. Our parents need to be informed.
But no one* is invited to my room. My room is my sanctuary. I get fidgety when anyone stays for more than 5mins. Everyone gives me their expert comments on how I can fill up the space in my empty room. People, I keep my room non-attractive so people don’t hang around, easiest way for low user engagement (See how I cleverly throw in marketing terminology to make myself sound intelligent?) Anyway painting the wall did seem like an interesting prospect for self-expression till everyone started doing it. So I was thinking of painting my white tiled floor instead. I know for one, Jyotsnaben won’t be very impressed when she comes to clean the next day :|
OMG. I have been finding this guy extremely hot. Dressed in a tux and adorned with pretty naughty eyes. (Check out 0:43) Hubba hubba! *Drooled and died*
*Unless (non-existent) hot men on campus

The geek, the laidback
The sane, the stoner
The fat, the thin
The tall, the short
The loud, the soft
The bitch, the nice
The SEC A+, the SEC A
The north-indian, the south-indian
The hot, the average
All are horny
Drunk on the dance floor

I just read a 17 year old girl’s blog. Oh my fucking God, she was absolute brilliance. I mean I have been writing since I was 3 but why wasn’t I ever thinking and writing? And that makes me feel terrible. I have this absolutely irritating habit that every time I see someone do something well, I NEED to do it. I just have to, I don’t quit it. It haunts me and I make myself feel terrible and useless and I hate that about myself but love it at the same time (umm ok I have my reasons). But I continuously want what others have. I have terrible nights. Days worse. I feel dumb during lectures. I feel less talented by the day. I need to keep doing activities around me to keep me distracted. All my friends are hot and are the most sought-after girls on campus while I have to make-do with being oh-so-cute. I wish I had really really bad genes, a person naturally depleted. I never had a body image problem till I came to MICA. I never cared about buying a new dress for every party before. I’ve started doing things I have always considered wrong or bad or vain. Can you believe it! But I run myself into the ground and don’t ask anyone for their hand. I am too fucking arrogant to ask or admit that I have needs. When I was in school I wouldn’t talk to my crush ‘cause I felt if he heard me talk he would dislike me. Ok that's got nothing to do with this. Sometimes I am two people to myself and I don’t know which to listen to; the insecure loser or the cheerful confident one. If it wasn’t for the latter winning most of the times I wouldn’t know what to do with myself.
But fuck that! Sleep time. Ah, this will phase out by morning. Cheerios!

She was the unworthy fisherman and you the prized bait
They weren’t here to pay the condolences
Instead they brought some candy and some verbal sugar
That didn’t console you but still
And they didn’t let you pay the bill
It was on them for the night
It was on them, all right.
A half death for herself when she finally admitted
But what was her apology good for, if she never regretted?
The confetti defected to drop from the sky
For your dead ego couldn’t boost even when she broke down and cried
Because the excuses started rambling thereafter in self defence
Like her innocent oblivion from when they turned lovers from friends
She grew tired of your abuses so trite, she retorted
It was on him, all right!
How fast memories of the last nine years rusted
For you it’s dead and gone, done and dusted
I know you’ve stopped hearing or reading her
But if you ever think of her in the fleeting blur
Just know one thing, between the endless lies or their refuge
Her love was no subterfuge
When you couldn’t bear her anymore blinding your sight
And thought her blaming the rest was the height of her laughable plight
So sad she proved everyone right-
It was on her, all right.
