While boys proudly turned into men
He tried to reverse the clock every now and then
His limbs wouldn’t allow him but his mind was on the sly
An idea that would finally complete his incomplete life
Little man ventured into the woods to enjoy the view
He never saw nature take its course before to make such a perfect brew
Surrounded by the sunset and the magical night that followed
He trampled on every grown moss like there’s no tomorrow
He carried no navigational needles to show him the way
Crumbs are dangerous as they lead to a penetrable trail
He knew he had to get back only to be a slave to her innocent smile
So he wanted not to be found, even if just for a little while
The lone adventurer never cared about the consequence of his ways
His path was straightened out, for her it was an unknown maze
She prayed one day he comes face to face with his conscience
She had enough of pretending to enjoy his attempted adolescence
But it was only his luck how agreeably things fell into place
He had always been too proud to make a wild goose chase
So he let the deer entice him deeper inside with her unparalleled grace
While the lioness quietly fed the cubs in her embrace
Except memories of the winter night left scars of his foolish whims
As the new morning softly enveloped the constellations that lead him
Dew-covered, his rested prescription glasses refuse to sanitize
It was the wrong place and time to realize the lucidity of her compromise

I am back and you are still brilliant (and still somewhat melancholy)... all is well with the world :)
